Alex and Jared are two of the most innovative baristas in San Francisco. Collectively they have been working in the coffee industry for over 15 years. So it was no surprise to the coffee community that they were launching their own brand. Their concept was to serve their own in-house roast through a classic espresso menu alongside an array of creative signature drinks. Their single origin offerings rotate seasonally; sourced from some of the most experimental roasters around the world.

They approached me early last year to design their brand identity. I had complete creative freedom over the design process.

I knew I had to design a style for their brand that was as unique as they are. They are known for their signature drinks. No two drink are alike and they take pride in making their own recipes and syrups.

With that in mind I knew the design had to feel as hand made and unique as their drinks. Everything from the logo to the posters are all painted by hand before bringing them into illustrator. I found perfection in the imperfections. Painting all the designs makes sure every line is different and special.
